What a donation does not buy
No operator can pay to change, soften or remove anything on this site. Inspection findings are reproduced as the Government of Alberta records them, and they come off a page for exactly one reason: the record does not support them. That process is written down, it applies the same way to everyone, and money has no part in it.
There is no paid placement, no sponsored listing, no advertising, and no preferential ordering. The order programs appear in carries no meaning at all. Nothing on this site is for sale, which is the only reason its 817 listings are worth anything.
If you run a program listed here, please don't donate. We would rather be able to say plainly that we take no money from the operators we write about. If something on your page is wrong, that gets fixed for free. Email corrections@daycareregistry.ca.
What it costs
Hosting, a domain and a mailbox for correction requests. It is not much, tens of dollars a month, and it comes out of one person's pocket. A donation covers that, and buys time to add the things still missing: Catholic and independent schools, other Alberta cities, and fee information the province does not publish.
Donations are a gift to an individual, not a charitable contribution. This is not a registered charity and no tax receipt is issued. Ko-fi processes the payment and we never see your card details. This site sets no cookies and shows no ads either way; see privacy for the page counts it does keep.
