Privacy

This site collects nothing about you. There are no accounts, no cookies, and no analytics. What follows is the short list of things worth knowing anyway.

What we don't do

• No accounts, sign-ups or logins.
• No cookies, local storage or session storage of any kind.
• No analytics, tracking pixels, advertising or third-party scripts.
• No mailing list, and nothing to subscribe to.

The search box and filters on the browse page run entirely in your browser. What you type is never sent anywhere — the whole list is already on the page.

The one third party

Each daycare page embeds Street View and satellite imagery from Google Maps. Those panels load directly from Google, which means Google receives a request from your browser — including your IP address and which page you are on — when they load. That is Google's data collection, governed by their privacy policy, not ours.

We chose embeds deliberately: Google's terms prohibit downloading or re-hosting their imagery, so there is no way to show you the building without your browser talking to Google. If you would rather it did not, blocking iframes from google.com leaves the rest of the page fully usable.

Hosting

The site is static files served by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested) for operational purposes. We do not query, export or analyse them.

If you contact us

If you email a correction, we keep the message for as long as it takes to act on it and to have a record of why a page changed. We do not add you to anything.

Information about daycares

Everything published about a program — name, address, phone, licence status, inspection history — is business information already published by the Government of Alberta or by the operator. It is not personal information about individuals, and we deliberately exclude family day homes, whose addresses are private residences.

Changes

If this site ever adds analytics, a contact form, or anything that collects data, this page will say so before it ships, and the date below will change.
